One app for both sides of the marketplace. Customers follow the jobs they have posted; gardeners check their day, their work and their earnings without opening a browser.

If you have posted a job
- The jobs you have posted, and how many gardeners have bid on each one.
- Bookings you have coming up, with the date and the work.
- Updates about your jobs, in the app, whenever you open it.
Posting a job, choosing a gardener and paying all happen on the website. The app is for keeping track of what you have already set in motion.
If you are a gardener
- Today: what you have booked in, and anything waiting for your answer.
- Every job you have accepted: when it is, where it is, and who it is for.
- Earnings split three ways — paid to you, awaiting release, and booked in — because one total would read like a bank balance when two thirds of it is not spendable yet.
- The working week you have set, a day at a time.
Finishing your signup, editing your profile, your services and your prices still happen on the website. Hedgehogardens is a marketplace: your rates are yours to set.
One app, both sides
There is one app, not two, and a phone holds one session at a time. Hedgehogardens issues a single sign-in for the whole marketplace, so signing in as a gardener signs you out as a customer, and the other way round. If you use both sides, expect to sign in again when you swap. The app asks the server who you are each time and shows you that side — it never guesses from which button you tapped.
Where this has got to
These are first releases. Every screen is read-only: the app shows you what is happening and sends you to the website for anything that changes it. Screens that cannot reach the server say so plainly — including when a feature is not available on the server yet — rather than showing you an empty list that looks like you have no work.
Hedgehogardens cannot send notifications to a phone yet: there is no push at all, in either app, so nothing will arrive while the app is closed. You will see updates when you open it. We would rather say that than ask for a notifications permission we cannot use.
Everything the app does, the website does too. hedgehogardens.com works in a phone browser in the meantime.
